적진이 얼마나 위험한지 모르는 상태에서 전 재산(본대)을 한꺼번에 밀어 넣는 장군은 전쟁에서 반드시 패배합니다. 훌륭한 장군은 소수의 '정찰대'를 먼저 보내어 지형을 파악하고 함정을 대비합니다. 퀀트 봇은 일반적인 봇처럼 시드의 10%씩 덥석 집어넣지 않고, 내 전체 자산의 '100분의 1 (1%)'이라는 아주 미세한 정찰대만 첫 진입에 투입합니다.

아무리 적은 금액으로 시작해도 봇이 무한정 물타기를 한다면 결국 청산을 당합니다. 이를 막기 위해 "롱 포지션은 잔고의 2배수 이상 진입 금지"와 같은 물리적 자물쇠가 걸려 있습니다. 봇이 물타기를 하다가 이 배율 한계선에 도달하면, 그 즉시 추가 진입(물타기)을 전면 중단하고 철벽 방어 태세로 전환합니다.
Even with tiny entries, infinite averaging down leads to liquidation. To prevent this, physical barriers are set, like "Longs cannot exceed 2x leverage". If the bot hits this leverage ceiling, it instantly halts all further entries and switches to pure defense mode.
